What is Abaweb and how does it work?
AbaWeb is the web-based version of the most widely used business software in Switzerland, ABACUS in the Internet version (vi). AbaWeb has been completely redeveloped in Internet architecture. The vi version of the software is particularly characterized by its scalability, role-based user concept, multilingualism and support for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). A company that purchases SaaS services pays a usage-based fee, in the case of the software a monthly rental fee. This means that the user does not have to make any initial investments in licenses or infrastructure.
With ERP hosting, software applications are provided on the basis of high-performance, so-called managed service infrastructures and made available to companies via online access. AbaWeb users then decide which modules they want to use. AbaWeb users no longer need local installations. AbaWeb enables problem-free working via the Internet and on the server of the hosting partner – Fidinter Treuhand AG – regardless of which workstation computers and which operating systems are used.
Costly additional software is not necessary with the AbaWeb solution. AbaWeb is compatible with the previous ABACUS program versions. All previous investments made by ABACUS customers are therefore protected and access to modern functionality and technology is secured.
